1. If gambling is a problem for you or someone you know

These services are independent of TrueProps and cost nothing to use.

2. What TrueProps is — and is not

TrueProps is a statistical analysis tool. We publish model-based projections and show how they compare to publicly available sportsbook lines. We are not a sportsbook: we do not accept wagers, hold funds, run contests, or award prizes, and nothing here is a recommendation to place any bet.

All content is for informational and entertainment purposes only. Whether and where you may lawfully place a sports bet depends on your jurisdiction — that determination is yours, and our copy will never pretend otherwise.

3. The honest math

Most people who bet on sports lose money over time. Sportsbook prices include a margin, and no model removes the uncertainty from a baseball game.

Our probabilities are calibrated estimates, not predictions of what will happen: a model probability of 70% means the modeled outcome is expected to fail roughly three times in ten. A projection can be well-reasoned and still lose — often, and sometimes for days in a row. If losing a bet would create a problem for you, the answer is not a better model; it is not betting.

4. Keeping it recreational

• Decide what you can afford to lose before you look at a slate, and treat that number as fixed.
• Never bet to win back what you have already lost.
• Do not bet with money needed for essentials, or with borrowed money.
• Take breaks. If betting stops feeling recreational, stop.
• Be honest with the people around you about time and money spent.

5. Self-exclusion on TrueProps

If you want to stop using TrueProps, email support@trueprops.app from your account address and ask for self-exclusion — or do it yourself from Settings, which is the same thing without the wait. Either way we will close your account, decline to reopen it, and stop all marketing email to your address. The request is logged. Deleting your account instead is a different thing: it closes the account but does not refuse to reopen it.

TrueProps self-exclusion covers TrueProps only. Sportsbooks and most US states operate their own self-exclusion programs; the helplines above can point you to the one for your jurisdiction.

6. Age policy: 21+

TrueProps is for adults aged 21 and over. By creating an account you confirm you are at least 21. We do not knowingly provide the service to anyone under 21, and we do not target advertising at anyone under 21 or at college campuses.
